Rock Removal

Island Foundations Corporation has been building concrete infrastructure throughout the five boroughs and northern New Jersey since 1994.

The complement to excavation regardless whether a new construction or a structural rehabilitation is rock removal. In New York City, non-explosive methods are particularly common and that means drilling and chemical expansions, pneumatic hammers, hydraulic hammers or hammer attachments to excavators. Inevitably, the removed material needs to be hauled away and dumped in approved landfills.

Island Foundations Corporation is experienced at all manner of rock removal including man-sized hammers, robotic drilling rigs and the excavator attachment methods. All of the removed and now excess rock and earth materials are then collected and with excavators typically loaded into dump trucks for the drive to the landfill.
